Be inspired to take up a challenge and fundraise for us

There are many organised fundraising events that you can get involved with, through your school, with your company or as an individual. If you can't find an event to join, then why not run your own? Each year our UK supporters, schools, societies and community events raise around £50,000. Thanks to everyone who takes part in a triathlon, a readathon or tennis tournament. Or who organises a cake sale, a supermarket bag pack or a collection. These events help raise our profile and make a lasting change to peoples' lives

I lost my parents at the age of three and I went to live with my Grandmother. In 2007, The Mango Tree came to my village and from here my life changed. I was provided with medication and a school uniform, things that my Grandmother could not afford, and so I was able to complete my education. I am now a tutor and mentor to younger orphans. I am about to goto college and become a teacher or a social worker.

Racing a Train Up Mount Snowdon

In 2013 the intrepid employees of MMT Digital decided to race a train 3,560 feet up Mount Snowdon. They figured if they could keep up 12 mile minutes, they could beat the train to the summit! First to the top, in an impressive 1.05hrs, was Amy Rudman. Well done to everyone involved and for raising over £2,000.

MMT Digital are also responsible for this wonderful new website, which we have launched in March 2015.

Another cycle ride, this time to Rome

We are indebted to the amazing support that we receive year after year from Uppingham School and the Friends of Uppingham School Association. In 2013, four ex-Uppingham university students cycled 2,500 kilometers to Rome. The journey, starting in the UK, took the group 24 days of riding 80-90 miles a day and raised £5,000 for The Mango Tree.

Climb Kilimanjaro

The climb to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in August 2012 was arranged to mark the 10th anniversary of our work to support thousands Kenyan and Tanzanian children orphaned by the African AIDS epidemic. The party comprised of 12 Mango Tree supported young people, two staff, two UK Board members and a longstanding and very generous donor. The group took eight days to climb to the summit and raised an astonishing £47,000.
We made the film of their experiences which you can watch which is available for you to view below.

Reaching for the Peak
