More and more UK workers are attracted by employers with a social conscience. Likewise good employers will run social responsibility programmes within their organisations. These employer-run programmes aim to give back in areas of the world where they have a presence and where their businesses profit.
Many large corporate organisations offer opportunities to employees to volunteer with non-profit organisations. Company employees and organisations like ours can share knowledge and enhance skills via secondment placement schemes or facilitated overseas project visits to see first hand how an organisation’s fundraising can make a lasting difference to peoples’ lives.
We are always happy to discuss facilitated project visits in Kenya and Tanzania for employees working with organisations who partner with us. If your company would like to consider joining us and supporting our work, please get in touch.
Archibald Bathgate Group
Sponsored events promote community action, both in Africa and the UK to raise funds and awareness. The Archibald Bathgate Group have been very generous supporters of our work in both Tanzania and Kenya for over 15 years. In August 2012 their chairman Rod Walker joined Mango Tree trustees, staff and 12 orphans, alongside other major donors, to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Together they raised over £50,000!
